Once upon a time …. in land far away a wonderful girl called Claire Lewis whom many of you many already know through the Brides To Be on Facebook group was to wed her prince charming Neil & this is how the story goes. Standby!!
The Build up! Got up at 6am, shower at 7, had breakfast at 8, arrived at venue for 9. I went to the venue the day before to drop everything off and go through the plans with the Op’s Manager, who I love! She’s just like me on the organising side of things, I got there and all my tables were set up (I’m not entirely sure when she sleeps!) she took us up to “bride HQ” and all the dresses were hanging up on the four poster bed – That was it! I was in floods at this point! So we got the fizz on the go, I plugged in my Ipod, and we got the tunes on! I did a playlist of 90’s classics and old school dance music, with a bit of my beloved Hard-Fi thrown in 😉
You walked down the aisle with: My mummy 🙂 My mum had to have heart surgery last year, so a lot of my wedding was planned from her room at Liverpool Heart & Chest hospital, just a year ago, I was worried she wouldn’t see my wedding day, but thankfully she made a good recovery. As a surprise, I got our Pianist to play “I can’t help falling in love with you” by Elvis Presley as we walked down the aisle (my mum loves Elvis). There were tears when it started playing!
When you saw your groom at the aisle and you both:Laughed / cried smiled / *summat else! All of the above plus I apologised for my lateness!
Did anyone muck up the vows?: No, but there was a bit of left/right with the rings!Did anyone cough or do something “humorous” at “does anyone know any lawful impediment”: My Brother In Law coughed, he always does it at weddings! Lets Party!!!!
And they lived happily ever after …
