Real Life Wedding – Renewing Your Vows

Renewing Your Wedding Vows After 10 Years

Recently Zarn our good friend from Alice in Weddingland  & her beloved Husband Rob celebrated 10 years of wonderful marriage by renewing their vows & we were thrilled to be asked to arrange & supply Zarns wedding accessories. So we thought we would share the unique wedding day with you, don’t they look so happy.

The renewing of wedding vows is growing more popular as couples seek to recreate their special day or perhaps do things a little differently to celebrate marriage milestones such as a 10 year anniversary. It is a romantic, magical fun thing to do, a chance to reflect on your original vows & your life together since, dreams realised & ideals still to achieve. There is no limit to the number of times you can renew your vows & each ceremony is as unique as the couple themselves.

Dress code for your renewal of wedding vows

The rule is …. there are no rules!

It is all down to personal choice with some brides choosing to wear a traditional wedding dress perhaps even the one she wore on her actual wedding day with other brides opting for a less formal attire. The men will normally wear a suit or formal evening wear but again this is up to you!

Your dress code may also be dependant on your chosen venue; again you need not hold the ceremony in a religious or ‘official’ place such as a church or Registry Office. For a small fee you can even hold the event at your house or an outdoor venue – the choice is yours!

Don’t let the weather get you down!

The one thing you can always count on is the great British weather!

We helped Zarn & Rob cover every eventuality by providing our wonderful fully rain proof wedding umbrellas – available in a range of glorious colours to suit all styles & themes these brollies are a fabulous finishing touch bridal accessory no matter whether it is pouring with rain or swathed in sunshine!

Wedding Vow Renewal Gift Etiquette

Whilst it is customary to buy the Bride & Groom a gift to celebrate their marriage & help them along the way as they set up new home together there is no such requirement for the renewal of vows. That being said the renewal is normally timed to coincide with a special anniversary so as a guest you may wish to buy a little something. Also for the happy couple the giving of a keepsake gift especially one that can be personalised perhaps with an engraving to commemorate the re-union is a lovely romantic idea.Big thanks to Zarn & Rob for sharing their very special day!
